What I got for Christmas 2016

I sat and debated whether or not to actually do this, but it's always super popular as everyone is so nosy and just wants to know what everyone got. So I have decided to do my first post for, 'What I got for Christmas'. I just want to say that I am very thankful for all these gifts, and I am no way bragging or anything I'm honestly just posting it because Jodie persuaded me to and they are so great to read. I hope you all had a great Christmas and spent so much time with your family as well that's what it's all about!! So if you want to find out what I got, then carry on reading.

My first present was a joint present from my Mum and Dad, however it wasn't just for Christmas it is also joint with my 18th Birthday in March. This was a Apple, MacBook 13 inches. And I am so great full for this gift, as I have wanted one for a while now and my laptop is on the verge of dying after 5 years of use.

One of my stocking fillers this year was a 'M' mug, along with a beautiful little flowery coin purse, an Avon Nail Varnish, Avon Eyebrow kit and some Chocolate Coins

Next is a DVD from my brother, as we both always want the same discs Mum just ordered 2 and randomly picked who would get what and I got X-Men: Apocalypse which I love so much.

My cousin has recently got engaged back in October, and her and her fiance we're kind enough to buy us something this year. The first was a cute Nutella set which was a plate and 2 mini Nutella jars, and Central Intelligence on DVD.

For the past 3 years I have gotten the new season of Big Bang Theory from someone in my family as they know how much I am obsessed with it. This year my Aunt, Uncle, and Cousin were kind enough to buy it me - Season 9 of Big Bang Theory, along with a new set of Make-up Brushes called Make Me Up, Professional Brush Set.

My Nanna and Grandad were kind enough to buy me a new pair of PJ's, which I actually picked out myself along with a new pair of Slippers as I was in desperate need of them both. Along with some fluffy socks, a Lush Bubble bar - Candy Mountain and the cutest Nail Varnish Set.  My Nanna is actually so crafty and she made a cracker and then filled it with some nail files, 2 nail varnishes and the toe separator thing you can use for painting toe nails.

Every Year, after we have eaten we do this thing called 'tree presents' which say 'from Santa', and this year it made us laugh because everyone had 3 apart from Nanna as she hadn't bought one for her self. From 'Santa' this year I got a Nivea set which contained a Shower Cream, Roll-on Anti-perspirant and Lip Balm, a Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, a Mini Snow Fairy and a new Umbrella.

I went down to Essex on the 27th December to see my Dad and my other half of the family, and had almost another Christmas Day in some way. My Grandma and Grandad, again got me The Vamps 'wow pit' tickets for their next tour in May which I am super excited about! Along with two Lush products, Lush Bath Bomb, Father Christmas and Lush Bath Ballistic, Tisty Tosty.

From my Uncle and my cousins I got Teen Wolf, Season 3 and Season 4 which I am so excited to watch as season 2 is honestly my favourite season so far. I have actually already ordered  a USB external DVD drive for my mac so I can watch it soon!

So I hope you enjoyed this post and had an amazing Christmas!! Again, I am so thankful for all these presents and I love my family so much and I hope you all have a wonderful break and new year!! Thank you for all my family who bought me presents this year, I am so grateful for everything.

Thank you for reading and I'll see you next with my 2016 favourites!

My Movie Watchlist | Christmas 2016

It is that time again, for yet another Movie watchlist but this time In the spirit of Christmas of course!

  • Nativity 1
  • Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger
  • Arthur Christmas
  • The Muppet Christmas Carol
  • A Christmas Carol
  • Elf
  • Mean Girls
  • The Santa Clause
  • The Santa Clause 2
  • The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause
  • Home Alone
  • Home Alone 2: Lost in New York

I watched my first Christmas Movie of the year last weekend when Mum and I were in the mood to watch Nativity, we started watching the 3rd one and couldn't watch anymore as it was bad (hence why I haven't listed it above) however the other 2 are the best and the 1st makes me cry. Arthur Christmas has to be one of my favourite Christmas movies along with The Santa Clause movies! If you have any recommendation leave me a comment and I'll give them a watch as I love new movies!

Hope you enjoyed this and will hopefully see you tomorrow, or the day after

FOTD | Christmas Edition

I haven't really done any make-up looks on here for a while or that were different to my usual make-up and I have been trying to change it up so pre-pair for 2 posts on make-up looks.

For this one I decided to hope on the trend of doing a Christmas make-up look that I have been wearing a lot. If I'm honest I haven't been wearing that much recently as I have run out of my favourite foundation and can't afford a new one so it will have to wait till after Christmas. If i'm honest I don't mind not wearing it at the moment as I like just wearing foundation sometimes however I have been breaking out so bad recently, which I think is due to eating a lot of chocolate so from now on I'll only been eating my advent calendar!

Let's get into the make-up look:

Maybelline New York, The Eraser Eye
Maybelline New York, Fit me!

Rimmel London, Brow this way - eyebrow kit
Rimmel London, Brow this way
Rimmel London, Stay Matte
Collection, Sheer Loose Powder
Collection, Blush
Benefit, Hoola bronzer

Nars, Illuminator
Collection, Highlight and Sculpt

Urban Decay, Naked 2 (Half baked & Bootycall)

MUA, Hall of Fame (Lion)

Maybelline, Lash sensational Mascara
Rimmel London Lasting perfection Lipstick (Shade; Red)

I have worn this a few times, but not always with the lip colour as it doesn't always work with the outfit. On the first day I wore this I got so many weird looks for wearing it but also lots of compliments, which was great
Sorry about the change in outfits and lip colour, I had tried to take a good eye picture when I'd got the lips on but it didn't turn out good so I tried again later in the day once I'd changed my jumper and lipstick and it came out good.

Hope you enjoyed this post, and I will see you on either Sunday!

October Favourites 2016

It's finally November and I'm so excited for Christmas now! I'm actually currently listening to a Christmas song, well a Christmas song by All Time Low called Merry Christmas, Kiss My Ass. Anyways, I'm a little late doing this but it's here and so lets get started.

The first 2 favourites are clothes, and I don't really talk about clothes mainly because I find it so difficult to find things I like that suit me, fit me and finally aren't too expensive. They are both from H&M which is great, I have recently re-found my love for H&M as i use to shop there then went off it and now my love for it is back, which is strange but anyways.  The first thing is a stripped jumper I picked up from H&M in Camden when I went there with my Dad. I'd say it's cropped but at the same time I think it's too long to be cropped, however it works really well with my next favourite and my trusty TopShop high waist joni jeans. The next favourite is a cord skirt, in black. I picked up in Derby again when I was with my Dad a while ago. I have always loved these style skirts however the denim ones never fitted me properly and looked weird on me and then I finally found this one and fell in love with!

Next is a Lipstick, and it isn't even mine it's actually my Mum's shhh. However she kept using one of my Mac one's so I think we are even! Anyway, it is again a Avon Matte Lipstick in the shade Superb Wine, which is a perfect fall colour. It goes great with the jumper and isn't to drying. I have a pink in the same style and they both last ages and look matte, instead of just looking not very shiny. Which I love, since I got my Kylie lip kit I have been obsessed with matte lipsticks.

Next is music, and this month I have been listening to Bastille non stop as I actually went to see them Live on 5th November. Which was honestly incredible, I'm so glad mum and I got tickets. We were also standing which was crazy but wow I'm so glad we did get standing because honestly you get so much more into the songs If I'm honest, like everyone is dancing so its not weird were as when your seated you can't really dance without looking crazy.

My final favourite this month is a youtuber and that is Remi! I have been watching her ever since Kenzie uploaded a video with her, which was about a month ago. I started off by watching her moving vlogs and got a little obsessed. I seem to love watching vlogs now, especially people who live in LA or America. Quite a lot of the people I watch are actually American. Anyways, Remi's channels.
Main Channel: MissRemiAshten
Vlog Channel: RemLife

I hope you enjoyed this and well, I will see you Sunday (I believe) with a new blog post!

My Movie Watch List | Halloween 2016

Happy Halloween guys! I love Halloween along with all the movies, so I thought I'd share my favourite one with you or some people have recommended to me. I haven't managed to watch all of them yet but I am in the process of doing so.
  • The Addams Family
  • Addams Family Values
  • Hotel Transylvania 1 & 2
  • Hocus Pocus
  • Casper
  • Nightmare before Christmas
  • The Witches
The Addams Family movies are honestly my favourite Halloween movies and Wednesday Addams is such an iconic Halloween outfit, I dressed up as her one year and it honestly didn't turn out too great but oh well. For my 17th birthday my friend bought me both the Hotel Transylvania movies and they are also brilliant, even to watch all year round! Well most of them are however they are obviously best fitted to watch around this time of year.

Ah well, I hope you enjoyed this lil blog post! If you guys have any more Halloween movies I'd love to know them and give them a watch before its time to watch Christmas movies. Which is so soon as I may have already changed my background on my phone from Autumn to Winter!

Back to School: Lets get motivated

I have been waiting ages to actually post this, to be able to sit down to write all about getting motivated for sixth form/school.

image from: https://uk.pinterest.com//
Since I have gone back to sixth form my attitude has changed all together and I am starting to feel more happy and motivated to survive the next 2 years at sixth form! That might confuse you a little as surely I should only have one year left but no, let me explain what I'm doing quickly.  I have decided to pick up 2 subjects with the year 12's at my sixth from and continue doing my ICT as a year 13. Which I technically am but at the same time I'm a year 12. As I won't be applying for university till next year which means I have longer to prepare for it and know its defiantly the right course or path for me!

So lets talk about motivation. I realised I went about a-levels all wrong last year, like I knew the jump from GCSE to a-level was big but honestly not this big. I thought I was doing well in one of my subjects and felt so confident in terms of the exams I took for them, however they didn't turn out brilliant. But I don't want to talk about that. One of the things that has got me motivated is well changing my attitude towards everything. I started watching a youtuber, Mel Joy, and I just love the way she looks at life and is so motivated for things. She is also how I got motivated to go to the gym more and be the best version of my self. It all seems a little bit stupid when I say it like this but its true. I think I changed I realised my attitude towards work needed change.

image from: https://uk.pinterest.com/

Homework and coursework, were always the 2 things I hated about sixth form and I put them off to the last possible moment. However In the past 2 weeks I haven't got that much work but of what I've got I have done the day I got it or the following day. The quicker you get it done the more free time you have after, and it is also easier to get it done after you have just learnt it as it is fresh in your mind! I feel that if I had this attitude this time last year maybe I would have got even better grades, but that doesn't matter now.

The two images are both from pintrest and I would say if you are looking for quotes to motivate you pintrest would be a good start. Look at these 1000+ motivational quotes.

My friend just coincidentally posted a blog post called '5 quotes to live by' and it links in kind of to mine so be sure to go and read it! Jodie's Blog.

I hope you enjoyed this post, and this 'back to school' collection so far. I have one more post and then that will be it, not a lot a know but I joined it a little late and didn't get organised quick enough.

August Favourites 2016

I always seem to do my favourites each month and sometimes they get pretty repetitive so I decided to only talk about a few things. However they will all be new and never been mention before on my blog, as my favourites each month seem to be pretty similar. Lets get started anyway.

When I flew out to Spain my Mum was kind enough to buy me the Benefit Hoola Bronzer, which I have fallen in love with and the colour suits me so much more than the Collection highlight and contour palette. It works so well as a suitable bronzer but also for a good contour. I love the fact it comes with a little brush, which works so well for contouring all of my face! I would recommended this product 100%, especially if you are pretty pale (like me) as the colour works so well as it isn't too dark.

Next is a highlighter that I have been wearing a lot recently, this is the Nars Copacabana Illuminator. I bought it when I was in America last year, from the Sephora opposite the Hard Rock cafe. I remember I spent the whole trip saying how much I wanted to buy it and trying it on in every Sephora. However on out last day in New York I told my friend I was going to buy a Hard Rock cafe Top and if I had enough money I would then buy it for my self and well I did! I am honestly so happy I got it too, it took a while for me to get use to applying it as it is a liquid but I have finally. I apply with my fingers and then blend it in with my tiny beauty blends and then apply a thin layer of the collection highlight and it looks amazing. I honestly adore it so much, I have joined the highlight craze now a little late but oh well.

Next is an Album, which I actually bought the day before I flew home from Spain which meant with Prime it would be there when I got home! Which it was and I added it straight to my phone as soon as I could! Oh yes, the Album is Know-It-All by Alessia Cara. I was obsessed with her song 'Wild Things' for ages and then heard another song by her 'Scars to your beautiful' on Spotify and realised she had an album out. Not sure how I missed it but, well I then listen to it on holiday via Spotify and became obsessed with it all! I defiantly recommend it and if you haven't heard any of her songs, then listen to 'Here' or 'Wild Things' as they are probably her will known songs.

Second last is a youtuber and it is velvetgh0st but her vlog channel! Gabby has been vlogging a lot recently and she has just moved so she has been vlogging all of that. She has also been going out 'clubbing' or just drinking with her friends and she vlogs that too and they honestly make me laugh and smile so much. She has also just uploaded her reaction to the PLL summer finale, which I haven't watched but I am so excited to watch it when I can.
Vlog Channel: Planet Gabb

Last is a movie which I have never mentioned before as I have just found a new love for it and the actor in it. It is Legend, and it is all about The Kray twins which are gangsters. I originally watched it on prime as research almost for a school project as I am doing all about nature and nurture of crime and murders. I thought it would interesting to watch and kind of related to my work so why not! The actor Tom Hardy plays both of the twins, Reggie and Ronnie, he plays them so well. I got my dad to buy it me on DVD the other week as I'm not 18 until March. It confused me slightly when I first watched it but you have to pay attention to it completely, you can't half watch it and half play on your phone otherwise you miss loads of the story line. However it is very violent and the language is very strong which explains why it is an 18, I can't really say don't watch it if your under 18 as I am but if your under 16 or scared by certain things I wouldn't recommend it!

Thank you for reading, hope you enjoyed this. I have some back to school posts planned now which are exciting!

Travel | Spain 2016

As a few of you may know if you follow me on twitter, I have just come back to England after being in Spain for 2 weeks with my family. It was so relaxing and enjoyable, spending the days by the pool, watching the Olympics and going out for meals in the evenings.

We stayed in a place called Moraria, which is in the middle of Valecia and Allicante along the coast. It isn't very tourist like and has no hotel's which is what we like about it. We stayed in a Villa just round the coast, in between Moraria and Calpe. Driving around the estates is quite difficult even if you know where you are going, in the light and its extremely difficult to find your way around at night! We got to the estate probably around 12am and it was very dark and we struggled to found our villa, we didn't manage to find it until after 1am. It was a rather stressful night and I couldn't wait to get some sleep.

After nearly I week of being out there some of family friend's had also flown out and were staying near Moraria so they came round and got to play in our pool and then headed out for tea. It was brilliant but playing with 2 7 year olds can get tiring. We went to the cutest restaurant which was just up the road from where we stayed. It was gorgeous and extremely cute, but the food was amazing too!! We went because apparently the paella was very nice.

This was the Paella that was shared between 6 of us, I'm not sure if you can tell in the photo but this was in the middle of the table! There is also an amazing ice-cream place called Tutto Frutto, which we visited most nights when we went out for a meal. I always have Toffee and Oreo which is so nice and the variety of ice-cream is incredible.

So that's it for this post and I hope you enjoyed this post, I wasn't really sure whether to post it or not but I'm glad I did! I have planned a results day post but it won't be posted until I am back at Sixth Form as it is going to be "Lets get motivated". It wasn't the best day ever and my results we not what I was expecting but I'm not sure what I expected in some ways.

Good luck to everyone who is getting there GCSE results!

Summer: What's in my carry on?

Hey guys, so as I am going on holiday to Spain I thought this summer I would do a 'what's in my carry on bag'. I have never actually done this or done anything like this in fact so I'm not sure how to do it and stuff. However if this goes well I will do a 'what's in my school bag' in my lil back to school series which I am trying to plan out now! Anyways, lets get started!!

The bag I am using is actually my school bag. Well I couldn't use my rucksack due to it being too big for ryaniar's bag sizes for your second bag. This is because we aren't taking a large luggage bag instead we are just taking carry on bags as it is easier for us all. Therefore we will be buying certain things out there like shampoo, conditioner and deodorant. My bag is from New Look however I did get it a while ago so I doubt they sell it anymore. It has lasted me a long time though which is great.

Next to what is actually in my bag! First is the important stuff like:
  • Passport
  • Phone
  • Headphones
  • Charger
  • Me Before You
  • Glasses case
  • Sunglasses case & sunglasses
  • Purse
  • Tangle Tezzer
  • Cath Kidston beauty bag
    • Paracetamol
    • Strepsils
    • Tissues
    • Tampon
    • Hair grips
    • Bobbles
    • Ear rings
    • Pen

So that is the contents of my bag, there isn't that much as I tried to fit as much as I can into my other bag and this is what i'll want on the plane! I hope you enjoyed this post and I will see you next week for my results day post....

Summer: FOTD 2016

Hey guys, since last years 'face of the day' my make-up collection has grown and well I have learnt new things about make-up. And as it is hot, well it was hot, I have just scrapped foundation all together. Well just for summer due to the heat. Now lets get on with the look.

Due to me not wearing foundation I have had to make sure I put on my moisturiser as it has SPF 15 in. However it is only the light moisturiser as that is the only one they do with the SPF and well thats what i want it for. As I feel that when you put sun cream on your face especially it gets all sticky on your face.

Now lets start with the actual make up look:

 Collection Lasting perfection concealer

Miss Sporty Studio eyebrow kit
Rimmel London Brow this way

Rimmel London Stay matte powder
Collection Contour and Highlight palette

I used the shades Bootycall, Chopper, Suspect, Pistol and Verve.
Bootycall in the corner of my eye to highlight, Chopper all over and the other 3 under my eye.
Naked 2

Max Factor False lash effect Mascara
Maybelline NY Lash sensational mascara

Lush Bubblegum lip scrub
L'Oreal Paris 'collection exclusive by JLo'

These are also the brushes and beauty blenders I used to create this look!

This is the finished look, also if you head over to my instagram you can see what I am getting up to whilst I am on holiday as you can now post stories on instagram which I am liking even though I love snapchat! The link to my instagram is on my 'Contact me/Social Media' page

Summer : 6 things to do when your bored

Hey guys, sorry this is later than usual for a Sunday but I wasn't feeling too good and was out all day yesterday at Nottingham Pride.

Anyway, during Summer you have so much time off and it will come to a point where you don't actually know what to do next. So I decided to give you some ideas to do, as these are some of the things I tend to do.
  1. Go to the Gym or on a walk. You can do this by yourself or with friends, I tend to go to the gym in the morning so I start my day off right or I'll go and walk around the fields near my house by myself with my camera. Also going for a walk will be great if you are a keen Pokemon Go player, will give you the chance to maybe hatch an egg or find some more Pokemon.
  2. Start a new TV Show. I mean you have so long off and if the weather isn't brilliant like most British summers then it will mean you aren't missing out on getting a tan. Last summer i started a TV show and finished 5 seasons in 3 weeks, and well I didn't leave the house at all but oh well.
  3. Get a new Hobby. It could be anything, something that you have always wanted to try and never really had the time to do it, or it could be something like starting a blog or a youtube channel. Something to keep entertained.
  4. Change your room around. I'm changing my room slightly all year round but as you have so much time why don't you go out and actually change your room to how you really want it. For example stalking Pinterest to find room ideas, even if you don't repaint it just add new decorations or move some furniture around. Something different for the new school year.
  5. Finally go out with your friends and do anything you want, from spending the day on a park, to going to the cinema, going to the beach for the day, shopping or going to the cinema to see that new movie you wanted to see. Spending time with friends.
  6. Start a book, especially if you are going abroad reading a book will be perfect for sitting by the pool. I don't read that much actually, I wish I read more if I'm honest but during summer I do read a lot more mainly as I go abroad so I get the opportunity to relax and read books by the pool. If you cant think of any books to read check out my 'Summer Reading List 2016'
Speaking of pinterest feel free to check out my account, (I'll link it all bellow) and I do have a board about rooms which might help inspire you if you are thinking of doing number 4! I hope you all have a great summer, are there any posts you would really like to see?
