My Everyday Make Up Routine | Spring 2017

A long awaited make up routine, which I have had written for ages but never got round to post it so today is the day! I actually love how it turned out today, and sadly I am not going anywhere as it is Easter Sunday and my mum is decorating the bathroom.

Before I even start doing my make up, I have been putting moisturiser on all the time but the new step is using my Mario Badescu Facial Spray with aloe herbs and rosewater before I put on my make up. The foundation I have been using, for 2 weeks I would say, is one I used when I first started wearing it in year 10. I ran out of my L'oreal one and wanted to try a different one so I resulted back to this one, as I loved it when i first got it and it has SPF in so was perfect for all the sun we were getting.

Rimmel London: Lasting Finish Foundation
Collection: Lasting Perfection Concealer

Rimmel London: Brow This Way - Brow Sculpting Kit
Rimmel London: Brow This Way - Brow Styling Gel

Rimmel: London Stay Matte
Benefit Hoola Bronzer
Collection Blush

For my eyes I have added something new, instead of just mascara and highlight. I have added in the factor of bronzer to add some definition and colour to my eyes. Mixing the bronzer with the highlight, from the Nars illuminator and Naked 2 pallete it looks great and has become new go to look.

Nars Illuminator
Urban Decay: Naked 2, Bootycall
Maybelline NY: Lash Sensational Mascara
Smashbox Mascara: Full Exposure

Before I the lipstick, I spray my face with the facial spray and then the setting spray to keep everything in place. The facial Spray can be used as as so many different things, on the bottle it says "Use it to set makeup, soothe your skin in dehydrating conditions, or to give your skin a quick boost anytime, anywhere."

Rimmel London: Matte lipstick - Trendsetter
Avon Setting Spray
Mario Badescu Facial Spray

So this is the final look! I took my glasses off for the photo's so you can see the look better and because the reflection on them drives me insane. The lighting was great from the windows but you could see them in the glasses, if you wear glasses you will understand this struggle too.

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed this post!

October Favourites 2016

It's finally November and I'm so excited for Christmas now! I'm actually currently listening to a Christmas song, well a Christmas song by All Time Low called Merry Christmas, Kiss My Ass. Anyways, I'm a little late doing this but it's here and so lets get started.

The first 2 favourites are clothes, and I don't really talk about clothes mainly because I find it so difficult to find things I like that suit me, fit me and finally aren't too expensive. They are both from H&M which is great, I have recently re-found my love for H&M as i use to shop there then went off it and now my love for it is back, which is strange but anyways.  The first thing is a stripped jumper I picked up from H&M in Camden when I went there with my Dad. I'd say it's cropped but at the same time I think it's too long to be cropped, however it works really well with my next favourite and my trusty TopShop high waist joni jeans. The next favourite is a cord skirt, in black. I picked up in Derby again when I was with my Dad a while ago. I have always loved these style skirts however the denim ones never fitted me properly and looked weird on me and then I finally found this one and fell in love with!

Next is a Lipstick, and it isn't even mine it's actually my Mum's shhh. However she kept using one of my Mac one's so I think we are even! Anyway, it is again a Avon Matte Lipstick in the shade Superb Wine, which is a perfect fall colour. It goes great with the jumper and isn't to drying. I have a pink in the same style and they both last ages and look matte, instead of just looking not very shiny. Which I love, since I got my Kylie lip kit I have been obsessed with matte lipsticks.

Next is music, and this month I have been listening to Bastille non stop as I actually went to see them Live on 5th November. Which was honestly incredible, I'm so glad mum and I got tickets. We were also standing which was crazy but wow I'm so glad we did get standing because honestly you get so much more into the songs If I'm honest, like everyone is dancing so its not weird were as when your seated you can't really dance without looking crazy.

My final favourite this month is a youtuber and that is Remi! I have been watching her ever since Kenzie uploaded a video with her, which was about a month ago. I started off by watching her moving vlogs and got a little obsessed. I seem to love watching vlogs now, especially people who live in LA or America. Quite a lot of the people I watch are actually American. Anyways, Remi's channels.
Main Channel: MissRemiAshten
Vlog Channel: RemLife

I hope you enjoyed this and well, I will see you Sunday (I believe) with a new blog post!

Back to School: Everyday Sixth form make up look

I thought I would do another make-up look in this little back to school series. However my make-up idea always seem to be the same as when I find something I like I tend to stick to it. So it might be a little repetitive but anyways lets get into this. I actually wear pretty much the same make-up every day, and the only thing that changes in my lipstick.

First of all I apply my Simple kind to skin, rich moisturiser all over my face but especially to my nose where I got my nose pierced as it is really dry at the moment. If you want me to do a post about my nose piercing, comment at the end! Then I apply some moisturiser also to my lips, and use the Cherry Carmex moisturising lip balm. Which I have been using for just under a month and it is brilliant!

Now to the make-up! First is my foundation, which is the MAC studio fix fluid in shade NW10. I apply this all over my face with my damp Real techniques beauty blender. Next is concealer and of course it is the Collection lasting perfection concealer in the shade fair. I use this to hide the bags under my eyes, cover and spots and to correct my eyebrows, which is the next stage. I use the Miss Sporty studio eyebrow kit in the shade medium brown. I have really light brows so the before and after photos make me laugh, but I used the wax to create the shape and fill them in and then just apply some power on the top. To set them I use Rimmel London Brow this way, brow styling gel in clear.

Once they have set it's onto powder to set my entire face, and I used the Rimmel London Stay matte long lasting pressed powder in the shade transparent. I apply this on with a 'blush' brush which I got from Primark I think. Next is one of my favourite new products and that is the Benefit Hoola bronzer, to apply this I simply use the brush it came with to contour and use my Real Techniques blush brush to blend it out and apply it around to tops of my face. For highlight I have been using my Nars Illuminator in Copacabana, I don't use a lot but I apply with a tiny damp beauty blender to blend it out. However for my Cupids bow I just use the Highlight from my collection highlight and contour kit.

Next to my eyes, I simply apply my favourite mascara which is Maybelline NY lash sensational mascara in black of course. However before applying it onto my top lashes I do curl them, with an eyelash curler which I got my Tiger I think. And finally I set everything with my Avon makeup setting spray.

Now to the lipstick and I went with the one I have been wearing today and that is my Kylie Jenner Lip Kit, in the shade Candy K. I tend to where it to school as it is quite a simple colour, not to bright or too dark. Also because it stays on really well so I only have to re-apply it once I have eaten lunch, which is great! And this is the final look!

So that is what I tend to wear when I go to sixth form, in terms of make-up! I hope you guys have enjoyed this post and I will see you Sunday!

June Favourites

Hey guys, its June favourites time!!! I'm quite excited about this because well its a bit of a weird one because its mainly make up, tv, films and youtube.

First of all is a foundation, it is MAC Studio Fix Fluid in the shade NW10. Yes yes that is the lightest shade, but it is like the first foundation that matches my face perfectly. It has great coverage and is more of a matte foundation which I defiantly prefer. I always see the coverage difference when I change my foundation for some reason, but its not heavy at all it feels the normal.

The next 2 beauty favourites are both lipsticks and in a way quite similar. As one of them is my MAC lipstick in the shade Velvet Teddy and the other is an Avon matte lipstick in the shade Adoring Love. The reason they are similar as well they are both matte but the Avon Lipstick is in fact the MAC lipstick dupe. I adore them both as they are such different colours, I have been wearing the avon lipstick more as I can't wear red lipstick due to my hair being purple. Which is sad but I have made up for that by wearing the pink.

I literally have like no velvet teddy left so my Kylie Jenner lip kit needs to hurry up along with a needed shopping trip to Derby so I can raid NYX. When it does arrive I will of course be doing a review and swatches for you!!

TV & Film:
Orange is the New Black
H2O: Just add water

As most of you will know, season 4 of OITNB came out in June so I decided to re-watch 3 of the previous season and then watched season 4 once I was finished which was around 4 days after it came out. It was such an emotional season and if you are a fellow lover of the show then you will know, I cried so much which is what usually do at most tv shows wow. I highly recommend it, it is such a good tv shows!!

H2O: Just add water is so different but I decided to continue re-watching H20 from about episode 5 I think and became hooked on it again. I'm still watching season 3 however its different to the first as some of the characters change however I still love it all, it was one of my favourite shows that I watched when I was a kid.

Next is the movies, first is Stand by me. Ages ago I created a movie watch list on my phone and eventually made it to Stand by me. I loved it so much, it's weird how much I love old movies. It's also different to other movies because it's not all about relationships and friendships its just about friendships and how one things changes things. How different the 4 boys were but that's what made them such good friends. I also laugh at how they think Will Weaton would have ended up looking like as he looks nothing like that now, as I watch him in Big Bang theory Sheldon constantly makes jokes about the movie which I finally understand!

Finally movie is The Duff, which I am forever re-watching. I watched it originally on prime but then bought it the other week along with Stand by Me when I went to Reading on a Uni open day. I tend to watch the movie when I am sad as it generally cheers me up so much as the story line is so cute and the end credits song is The Vamps which is amazing. I got my bestfriend to watch it too and she's hooked on it also so its amazing as we can watch it together and cry, oops.

Youtube:
Kenzie Elizabeth is one my one and only youtube favourite this month! I have been watching her for a few months and im just so obsessed with all of her videos and he dog is the cutest thing ever. I watch both her main channel videos and vlog channel. I love her vlog channel so much as I love the area she lives in, it's where I would want to go if I moved to America. Check out both of her channels if you want!
Keeping Up With Kenzie

Thank you for reading and I shall see you Wednesday for another post as I my new makeup organiser has arrived so I thought I'd show you it and my make-up collection in one as for me I have kind of a lot but for other people I don't. Considering I only started wearing foundation in year 11 which I am so thankful I started watching youtube as I would maybe still have awful skin.
