the books i want to read this year (2019)

For the past 4 years, I have shared a range of books that I have set out to either read throughout the year or throughout the summer holidays. And I thought this would be the perfect post to come back to my blog with, as you will have noticed I have been a bit MIA over the past few months. But nonetheless I really enjoy reading, when I find the time to do it, so I wanted to share the books I want to read this summer but also the rest of the year.

Before I get started I just wanted to share that I actually have a Good Reads account which is where I track my 'yearly challenges', the books I have read and the books I want to read. So if you want to check out my account I have linked my 'to-read' bookshelf below- just click the widget and it will take you there.
Megan Tucker's book recommendations, liked quotes, book clubs, book trivia, book lists (to-read shelf)

1. TWO CAN KEEP A SECRET BY KAREN MCMANUS

2. TO ALL THE BOYS I LOVED BEFORE BY JENNY HAN

3. A GOOD GIRLS GUIDE TO MURDER BY HOLLY JACKSON

4. YOU OWE ME A MURDER BY EILEEN COOK

I started the year with the challenge of reading 5 books, but last month I decided to change it to 4 because well I still haven't read a book this year. I mean its the end of July and I still haven't read a book so I am not sure I'll even read 4 but we can try. However, I still want to share 5 books anyway.

5. THIS LIE WILL KILL YOU BY CHELSEA PITCHER

So that is it for the books I want to try and read this year, or at least just read at some point. There is definitely a theme to the books but they are the books I love the most! Karen McManus is also releasing a sequel to 'one of us is lying' in January next year I believe and I am so excited about that because I loved that book so much last summer.

I hope you guys have a lovely summer doing whatever, I am working the majority of it but will have fun nonetheless. If you have any book recommendations I would LOVE to hear them. Again thank you so much for reading my blog and I'll be back soon.
