My December Watchlist 2017

It is finally that time again for my watchlist for the month, which includes as awful lot of Christmas films, TV shows and things I just love to watch during this month including some new films in the cinema currently.

My watchlist this year is sadly pretty similar to last year however there is some new editions such as Love Actually as I finally watched it and I have to say it was wonderful and is one of my favourite Christmas movie's now. Of course I had to mention the Gavin and Stacy Christmas special as it isn't Christmas without it, including the typical scene with Smithy singing to Christmas songs in his car - The original Carpool Karaoke.  Call the Midwife has to be one of my favourite BBC tv shows that always has a Christmas special on Christmas Day then followed by a new series in the New Year and I am very much excited for this year's special!

Tv Shows:
1. Gavin and Stacy Christmas Special 2008
2. Miranda Christmas Episodes
3. Big Bang Theory - The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis
4. Gilmore Girls
5. Call The Midwife

Films
1. The Santa Clause
2. The Santa Clause 2
3. The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause
4. Nativity 1
5. Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger
6. Arthur Christmas
7. The Muppet Christmas Carol
8. Love Actually
9. Home Alone
10. Home Alone 2: Lost in New York
11. All the Harry Potter Movie's
12. Polar Express
13. The Christmas Prince
14. Star Wars: The Last Jedi
15. Pitch Perfect 3

The Final 3 film's are also new and came out this year, some pretty recently. For the last 3 years, December has been the month when the new Star Wars films come out so now I also associate the month with Star Wars movies now! The Christmas Prince however is one of the many Netflix Original Christmas films, and I have to say it was brilliant and definitely recommend it - it is all about an aspiring journalist is sent abroad to get the scoop on a prince who set to be King.

The final film is the new Pitch Perfect and if you know me, I absolutely adore these movies and can sadly quote the entire first movie... But let's not talk about that, the film actually came out yesterday in the UK so of course I went to see it and I am defiantly seeing it again on Friday. It was such a perfect, yet slightly weird movie to end the 'franchise' with some very funny moments of course. I 100% recommend, it was a truly great movie along with the new Star Wars - both perfect.

I hope you enjoyed this post and if you have any film or tv recommendation I would to hear them.
Thank you for reading!

Black Friday Haul 2017

I am finally getting round to writing this post after a busy week away on a Geography trip in Cumbria, at a place called Castle Head Field Centre. But you haven't clicked on here to hear about my stressful Geography trip, you came to hear all about my Black Friday Shopping.

I wasn't originally going to purchase anything in the Black Friday this year but I caved and went to shops online, the first Misguided and the second Beauty Bay. I also bought the last of my Christmas presents but none of them were in the sale or for me so I won't include them.

I started off on the Misguided website unsure on what I wanted but knowing that they had 50% which was pretty decent, and if I am honest I have never paid full price for their stuff as I get student discount with them all year round. 2 out of the 3 items I picked up were entitled to 50% off as the other was already in the sale so obviously they wouldn't give me another 50% off.... First of all I picked up a cropped top called "petite purple washed tshirt" which is just a plain purple cropped trop, which probably isn't great for the weather now but it is super cute and only £6!

The second item I picked up is something I have wanted for a while, not this design but this style of sweatshirt - it was called "white oakland slogan sweatshirt". The final item was a denim skirt, and I always struggle to find one that fits me correctly but this one is a "black denim super stretch mini skirt" so it will fit you no matter what. Both of these items had 50% off so I ended up saving £19 on both of these items which was brilliant, so my basket was £25 instead of £44!

The next website I visited was of course BeautyBay and it took me ages to actually get onto the website as there was a 'wait list', so whilst I was waiting I made the most of my time and had tea and by the time the 30 minutes were over I was finished.

The first item was of course the popular L.A. Girl PRO.conceal HD Concealer and I got it in the shade Porcelain, I haven't tried it yet but it looks like the right shade for me at the moment - I will let you all know when I try it!

I also caved and got a Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in the shade Deceased which is absolutely beautiful! I am not going to lie but the shade it was on the website (on the lips) is a different shade it is on my lips but that doesn't matter as it is gorgeous anyway! The description of the colour calls it "A grey toned mauve". I love everything about it and I am very tempted to order more just because the formula is brilliant, it lasts ages just like the Kylie liquid lipsticks! The last thing I picked up is something Boots actually sell but I need to spend like 30p more to get free delivery and this face mask was the same price as the delivery... It was the Yes To Detoxifying Charcoal Paper Mask. Again I haven't tried this but that is mainly down to being away but I will 100% try it over Christmas Holidays, which is soon!!!

I hope you enjoyed this post, thank you for reading!

My Current Music Playlist | November 2017

Ever since February I have been creating playlists of my favourite songs each month and it has honestly been such a brilliant idea I am not sure why I didn't do it sooner. I can't take credit for coming up with the idea though, as at that time I was following a lot of new people and Spotify and found that a few of them did that so I decided to try it to.

For the past month of so I have actually been listening to a playlist called "youre too hot for him" by Kenzie, and the majority of the songs on my November playlist are from that playlist along with some new songs I have been loving.

1. Say It to My Face by Madison Beer
2. Too Good At Goodbyes by Sam Smith
3. Wolves by Selena Gomez and Marshmellow
4. rockstar by Post Malone and 21 Savage
5. repercussions by Bea Miller
6. S.L.U.T by Bea Mller
7. to the grave by Bea Miller
8. Call It What You Want by Taylor Swift
9. Distraction by Kehlani
10. Too Much by Kehlani
11. Too Little, Too Late by Jojo
12. Runnin' - Interlude by Kehlani
13. Jealous by Kehlani and Lexii Alijai
13. World Gone Mad by Bastille
14. Coming Home by Sheppard
15. Personal by The Vamps and Maggie Lindemann
16. Killing Me by Jacob Whitesides
17. Obsessed by Maggie Lindemann
18. Say My Name by Destiny's Child
19. Independent Woman, Pt.1 by Destiny's Child
20. Dead by Madison Beer
21. Woman by Kesha
22. Sorry Not Sorry by Demi Lovato
23. Research by Big Sean and Ariana Grande
24. Run the World (Girls) by Beyoncé
25. New Rules by Dua Lipa
26. IDGAF by Dua Lipa

I hope you enjoyed this post and possibly go and listen to some of these songs, especially the second half of the list as they have really helped me to stay motivated, however they are all great to dance to.. Maybe not the Bastille or Jacob Whitesides song but the rest are pretty dance worth!

Thank you so much for reading!

Random Autumn Haul | 2017

If any of you also students and have UniDAYS then you will probably have heard of the student nights they have been putting on at different cities at Intu shopping centres. On the first Wednesday of the month, 4th October, it was the student night in Nottingham so naturally my friends and I went along to save some money. I have honestly never seen so many students in Victoria Centre before, the queues were insanely long in the majority of the popular shops, free drinks were being given up, Capital FM were playing some songs the entire night and we got a free shot at a random bar.

Anyway, onto the actual haul. I didn't actually buy everything in this haul at the student night, quite a lot of it I have been collecting till I had enough to write a blog post about them. The first item is a highlighter I picked up when i was in London over the Summer. I had been searching for it for ages and couldn't seem to find it anywhere, but eventually I found it on Oxford Street. This is the

Next is a new MacBook case, and yes I did break my last one but not massively. Where the case clips onto the base, the clips broke off so the case kept sliding down my MacBook - defiantly not protecting it. Two of the 'stands' on the bottom also fell of so when I was typing my laptop would move, very annoying, I finally decided to buy a new one, which was a different colour and I looks so much better than the old one. Mainly because this is matte where was the other one was patchy and see through. I still bought this case from Amazon but there was so many more you could pick from, they didn't just do plain matte colours they also did pretty patterned ones too.

Next is something I contemplated for ages and couldn't decided which to pick and then finally I made my decision. I bought myself some Black Nike One Roshe, whilst there was 20% student discount so I saved myself £14!

The first item I picked up on the student night was a new Smashbox photo finish primer, as I have been running low for a while - I haven't run out yet more just keeps coming out! But I got it just in case as I didn't want to run out and be left with none, plus I saved some money on it which is great as it is quite expensive anyway.

Now onto a lil list of random DVD's I have picked up since I was in Essex this summer. First of all is How i Met Your Mother season 8, I know what you are thinking it is a little random but I for my 15th birthday my Dad got me seasons 1-5 so I am trying to get the rest of them and it was like £3 from cex so why not? I get quite a few of my dvd's from there and they are great! I also picked up Angus Thongs and Perfect Snogging from cex also, for 50p!! Even better! Next I bought Easy A from amazon, the new Beauty and Beast and the New Pirates of the Caribbean.

Finally another thing I picked up on the student night, and it is known as a pop vinyl, and I got the Captain America Civil War one. More and more people have been getting them, they are becoming more and more popular. Gabriella started her collection and placed them on her dvd 'book' shelf and it made me want to do the same, I then found a few similar picture all of pintrest so I have started look for all the other ones that I want - but don't necessarily need... I am at Comic Con (again) this Saturday so I of course will be looking out for some that I want but also for my family and friends as Christmas is creeping up on us.

Very random but a good haul I think, but I do hope you enjoyed reading and thank you for actually reading this post! Hope you're having a nice holiday, if you are on Half Term like me!

My October Watch List

This month I thought I'd switch up my 'movie watch list' to just a watch list with some tv shows I will definitely be watching this month, of course along with some movies - some the same as last year but some new ones as I have been searching and watching some random halloween movies. I haven't managed to watch all of them, and some of the tv shows don't appeal to me but I have heard good things about them!

Down to TV shows there are so many that have brilliant halloween episodes or are just generally perfect for this month, the beginning of autumn leading into winter.

  • Scream Queens
  • Pretty Little Liars - Halloween episodes
  • American Horror Story
  • Stranger Things
  • Gilmore Girls
  • The Addams Family
  • The Addams Family Values
  • Twitches
  • Twitches Too
  • The Witches
  • Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
  • Hocus Pocus
  • Hotel Transylvania 1 & 2
  • Monster House
  • R.L. Stine's Monsterville: Cabinet of Souls
  • The Nightmare Before Christmas

Thank you very much for reading, I hope you enjoyed it. I also hope you all enjoy your October half term or what ever you are doing this week.

September Favourites | 2017

Happy October everyone!! It is now officially the month of Halloween so I can watch Halloween movies, which means a watch list will be on the way very soon! But first of all onto my favourites from last month, which is quite small and random for once.

First of all is a book, which I am yet to finish but so far it is brilliant! I bought it for a Spa day I had last Saturday, which was a present for my 18th back in March. The book is one that I found from doing some online browsing on amazon, which I do quite a lot actually... It annoys my mum sometimes as it's her amazon account so she is always getting emails suggesting things she may like from what I've looking at. Oops. The book is called The List by Siobhan Vivian, who I had never heard about before but after reading the blurb I was interested and it seemed different to the books I had read before.

Next is a clothing item, this is super strange but I have fallen in love with an oversized denim jacket that I bought near the end of the summer holidays when I was down in Essex. You may have seen it in my first back to school post of the year, if not here it is. When I first ordered this online it was huge, and not in a good way so I had to send it back. However when I was in Essex we went over to Bluewater and they had a misguided, so of course I tried the next size down on and it was a fit! So of course I had to buy it. To make things better there was still 20% student discount so rather than it being £35 it was £28!

My next favourite is not an item but in fact a person/people, as it is a variety of YouTube videos that are all about University. Since the majority of my friends have in fact moved away to university or still here but at university I thought i'd search the web for video's all about it, as this time next year that will be (we hope). I have come a wide variety of different videos, mainly looking at their university rooms or seeing what their experience has been like so far.  One youtuber I have enjoyed watching for that sort of video(s) is Emily Rose.

Finally onto music favourites and if I'm honest it is just my October playlist which consists of The Sctipts new album, Dua Lipa's new album and some other random songs from R5, dodie, Scouting for Girls, Taylor Swift and Hailee Steinfeld. - September

I hope you enjoyed this short but sweet favourites for this month! Thank you so much for reading.

Back to School | University of Lincoln Open Day

It is officially that time again for me to start looking at university's, and I am very very excited to start looking around again. When I first started looking at university's I automatically fell in love with Birmingham City University, but after waiting over a year I am beginning to properly look at them.

When I first started looking at Universities I had no idea what sort of campus I wanted to go to, where in the Country and most of all what subject I actually wanted to study. I originally looked at two campus based Universities and 3 city based ones, and realised that a city campus was defiantly for me. I didn't like the idea of being in the middle of nowhere, but for some people that is what they are looking for. For example I have a friend who has just started at Keele University which is basically in the middle of nowhere, but she adores it because she use to live in an area surrounded by fields. On the other hand I have a friend who is now in London at Westminster University and she loves that too because she is right next to the tube so can travel into Central London when ever she wants. It all depends on where you want to go, and where you can picture you're self for the next 3 years of your life.

So far I have booked 3 University open days for the University of Lincoln, Birmingham City University and De Montfort University. Saturday was the open day for Lincoln. My Dad and I spent the majority of the day up there, started off by registering and getting some booklets about the university before meeting my friend for lunch. As she has just started doing Law at Lincoln, so I had a nice catch up with her discussing the university, how she likes Lincoln and generally gossip about life. After having lunch we headed off to a talk about the course I want to do - Criminology. However we were too late, but we got to speak to another professor who teaches the degree along with a 3rd year Criminology student at the University. Therefore not only did I get to talk about the course, with a student I got to learn about the University and City from a students point of view which was wonderful.

After that we just decided to look around the city, did a little bit of shopping before walking up to the Cathedral. However I have decided if I chose to go to this University I will only be going back up 'steep hill' when family members are visiting or a need to go to a shop up there - only if its an emergency though!

Saturday was also Pride in Lincoln, so we got to witness the parade walking past us whilst eating lunch and seeing everyone dressed up for the occasion - was very pretty.

Thank you again for reading and I hope you enjoyed this post.

July Favourites 2017

Summer has finally arrived, Sixth Form is over and I am back with a working MacBook!! Since I have been gone have been trying new things and become obsessed with so many things, so of course my first post back is a favourites. Again this favourites is lacking make-up/hair/beauty favourites as I haven't really found any recently but hopefully there will be some soon as I plan on purchasing some new make up soon - my list is ready for pay day.

So first of all is a first time purchase and I have only ever mentioned this brand once, back in March. I finally, after trying the original version, bought the Smashbox Colour Corrector Primer - Adjust (Green). I have been using it every day since I purchased it and I have fallen in love. I only ever used the baby skin primer before I tried the small Photo finish primer from Smashbox that my friends got me for my birthday. I had seen youtubers use all the different ones and I thought the green one would be perfect for me as I have quite red skin. It works wonderfully and makes me foundations go on easier and smoother along with getting rid of the main areas of red slightly - as it can't work miracles, my skin is constantly red.

Next I am jumping straight onto music and I have 3 new albums to to talk all about, and the first one you may guess if you know me or read my post regularly. Of course it is The Vamps new album Night and Day (Night Edition) - I am listening to the song My Place off the Album as I am writing about this. Of course this had to be featured in the favourites for July as I also went to see them perform this entire album in a small intimate gig in Sheffield on 10th July. It is quite different to their previous album and I have fallen in love with every song off it, can not pick my favourite! If someone asks I'll tell them one and then change my mind. Today as I am posting this it is 5 years since The Vamps posted their first cover, which is insane!

Next is Imagine Dragons new album Evolve and I only listened to it as my brother bought it and my mum has had it on in the car 24/7, if not I would have only listened to Thunder and Believer. My friend originally got me hooked on Thunder and then Riverdale got me hooked on Believer but once I listened to the rest of the album i fell in love. I had never really been a massive fan of imagine dragons, I loved some of their songs before but my friends had never got me to listen to an entire album but I'm glad they did this time.

Now to TV shows, and I mean it wouldn't be a favourites if I didn't mention a tv show and this time it is Degrassi Next Class : Season 4 as it was added to Netflix on the 7th July but I didn't watch it till later on I think. It was another emotional rollercoaster, the same as the other seasons, but the stories that were told were beautiful and I honestly adore all the characters and stories they tell. I would highly recommend as it isn't the same as your typical high school tv drama.

My second and final tv show favourites is one that if you are from england then you will most likely have heard of it and you will either love or hate it, and it is of course Love Island series 3. I was almost forced into watching it and it took me a few episodes to understand what the hell was going on, who was who and what the purpose of it was. However after a week of watching (as it was on every night at 9pm, but not Saturday's) I was very much hooked and was always in front of my tv or laptop at 9pm.

My movies this month of course were mentioned in my last post, but the main ones I have been watching this month has been Before I Fall, The Outsiders, Descendants 2 and Fast and Furious 8.

Not that many favourites this past month but I will make sure there is more for August's favourites! Don't forget I am making the monthly playlists over on my Spotify if you want to check out what I listen to each month - July 2017. Thank you very much for reading and I hope you enjoyed this!

My Movie Watch List | Summer 2017

I get so excited when I can share things like this, movies are my favourite things so I LOVE writing these posts. There isn't really a theme for this one, like the last 2 which were Christmas and Halloween. These are just my favourite movies at the moment, on DVD but also in the Cinema as there are some brilliant films out now or are in the process of moving from cinema to dvd.
  • Edge of Seventeen
  • Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales
  • Fast and Furious 8
  • The Outsiders
  • Descendants 2
  • Before I Fall
  • Stand By Me
  • Grown Ups
  • Grown Ups 2
  • War Dogs

When I finally got round to watching this movie I cried so much (if you know me, then you know thats normal for me), but it honestly such an amazing movie. We hadn't had a chick flick like this in so long and I needed one! The last good one I think was the Duff or LOL - which are also both brilliant movies.

This summer Showcase Cinema is showing Stand By Me again, as in March it was 30 years since it was released in the UK. It has to be one of my favourite movies, especially for this time of year because it is all about friendship. Yes the boys go looking for a dead body, but it shows all the different aspects of friendship and general makes me happy. After I watched it for the first time last year I then understood all the Stand By Me references in Big Bang Theory that Sheldon made to Will Wheaton, as he is one of the boys in the movie along with River Phoenix, Corey Feldman and Jerry O'Connell.

After 6 years my favourite movie series (apart from Marvel) finally brought out a new movie - Dead Man Tell No Tales. After the last one in 2011 I was always hoping there would be another one just so they could redeem themselves as it was honestly awful. Thank goodness but the movie was amazing and made me very happy!!

Grown Ups 1 & 2 are just movies that I can watch whenever, they will always cheer me up if needed and just generally make me smile too. I adore all of the characters and the actors they picked to play them, such as Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock and David Spade. The 4 of them together just work and they make the movies so entertaining.

I hope you enjoyed this post and its great to be back at this after not having a computer for so long! Thank you for reading and I will see you very soon!

MCM Comic Con London 2017

Hello everyone, and welcome back - I have been super excited to write this post! I also just want to explain another lack of posts this month, as my mac hasn't been able to turn on since last Monday so I haven't had a computer which sucks as I have been using it to revise but my brother has gone away so has left me his computer to use - which is super lovely of him! It has windows 10 on so I am learning how to use it.... But I am just having a break from revision and work to finally write this post!

So this post is all about MCM Comic Con, that occurred over the weekend that has just gone. I was lucky enough to go to the Sunday of the convention. It started Friday, where a few celebrities went but mainly everyone is setting up the stalls, stages and booths. Saturday is the main day when most people tend to go, it was sold out actually. However I went on the Sunday, it was still busy and by the end some of the shops were discounting everything to try and sell what they bought.

If I am honest I mainly went to Comic Con to see KJ Apa, the actor from Riverdale, however I am so glad I went as it was such a brilliant experience and I felt at home with all these people who love things as much as me or even more! My favourite thing was seeing all the cosplay outfits, some of them were amazing so much effort must have gone into them! I did not dress up, mainly because I had no idea what to go as and I had a photo op with KJ so wanted to look good...

I went to Comic Con with my Dad and brother first of all, but went with my friend Megan too - who I actually met on twitter via The Vamps, and her friend Rachel. We got there round 9:30 but weren't let in till 11, however we arrived at a perfect time as we were quite near the front of the queue so got in straight away and ran to the autograph station to buy our tickets to see KJ.

Sorry about the snapchat caption on this and some of the images, they are from my friends story from the day so I couldn't get rid of it..

The first thing we did was find the autograph area, which was the opposite end of excel to us so we did run. I left my dad and brother and went straight to that area, as they wanted food. We bought the autograph's and headed straight over, I noticed KJ straight away when I saw the ginger hair. On the table next to him was the 2 actors from NCIS: Los Angeles who I had also gone to see. They played the pair Kensi and Deeks.

We went to find a Costa after this, had a break for food and then headed to our first panel of the day - Rebecca Breeds and Luke Mitchell. They were both from Home and Away, however I knew Rebecca from The Originals (Aurora de Martel) and Pretty Little Liars (Nicole). I knew Luke from Mavel Agents of Shield (Lincoln Campbell) however he was also in the The Tomorrow People (John Young). The panel consisted of people watching asking them questions and the person on stage asking questions and just talking to them about different things.

Next was a panel for the 2 NCIS: Los Angeles actors - Daniela Ruah (Kensi Blye) and Eric Christian Oslen (Marty Deeks). This panel was slightly different as it was just the one man on stage talking to them about different things, very random things actually. They did stray off topic many times and we learnt Daniela had an imaginary friend who was then sat in between them... Yes it got weird but they also talked about the latest season and things that happen - I won't tell you because spoilers!

Now to the main reason I went to Comic Con (oops) but my KJ Apa photograph!! The queue was honestly massive but was worth it, as it did move quite quickly. Once I was in and said 'hey' to KJ I was ready for the photo and he told me to put my chin down, so I did, said goodbye, got my bag and walked to collect my photo. Then it hit me, 'what if I had a double chin?', luckily that did not happen. It was all because of the reflection on my glasses, it happened to my friends too as we all wear them. Rachel had her photo taken 3 times, and Megan twice just because you could see the studio lights in our glasses.

The day ended with us looking around all the stores for a pop vinyl of yoda for my dad before KJ's panel at 4! In this panel it mainly consisted of the audience asking him questions all about Riverdale, himself, his life and the movie he was in - A Dogs Purpose.

Did any of you guys go? Or do you watch Riverdale / NCIS: Los Angeles?
