photo diary | lincoln christmas market

On Friday my friends and I decided to take a little break from essay writing and revising to take a trip up to Lincoln to see the Christmas Market. The train wasn't too bad for us on the journey there as they put on a large train due to the market and all the carriages are declassified so you can sit in first class, so that is exactly what we did. We were the only ones there, and as it was lunchtime while we were on the train we all sat and eat that without funny looks from other passengers like normal.

FRIDAY 6TH DECEMBER

We had a look round Lincoln Cathedral as entry is now free and I felt like I was walking around Hogwarts. There was also a choir singing some Christmas song, they were lovely.

Now onto the market, the bit we went for!

This beautiful building in the heart of the market is actually the crown courts!

For the journey back we again got to sit in first class and enjoy our dinner as we left at 6:30 and didn't get back into Leicester until 8:30. I had the new pigs and blankets panini from Costa! It was so yummy! It was followed by a doughnut from Doughnotts, of course, where we both had a cookie monster this time.

Lizzie stayed in Lincoln and took a picture for me of the Cathedral at night!  SO beautiful, definitely will be going back there.

We are planning to go to Manchester Christmas Market next year as I have always heard such good things about. I am also going back to Nottingham next week and I can't wait to see the Winter Wonderland there as it is always my favourite thing!

What I got for Christmas 2016

I sat and debated whether or not to actually do this, but it's always super popular as everyone is so nosy and just wants to know what everyone got. So I have decided to do my first post for, 'What I got for Christmas'. I just want to say that I am very thankful for all these gifts, and I am no way bragging or anything I'm honestly just posting it because Jodie persuaded me to and they are so great to read. I hope you all had a great Christmas and spent so much time with your family as well that's what it's all about!! So if you want to find out what I got, then carry on reading.

My first present was a joint present from my Mum and Dad, however it wasn't just for Christmas it is also joint with my 18th Birthday in March. This was a Apple, MacBook 13 inches. And I am so great full for this gift, as I have wanted one for a while now and my laptop is on the verge of dying after 5 years of use.

One of my stocking fillers this year was a 'M' mug, along with a beautiful little flowery coin purse, an Avon Nail Varnish, Avon Eyebrow kit and some Chocolate Coins

Next is a DVD from my brother, as we both always want the same discs Mum just ordered 2 and randomly picked who would get what and I got X-Men: Apocalypse which I love so much.

My cousin has recently got engaged back in October, and her and her fiance we're kind enough to buy us something this year. The first was a cute Nutella set which was a plate and 2 mini Nutella jars, and Central Intelligence on DVD.

For the past 3 years I have gotten the new season of Big Bang Theory from someone in my family as they know how much I am obsessed with it. This year my Aunt, Uncle, and Cousin were kind enough to buy it me - Season 9 of Big Bang Theory, along with a new set of Make-up Brushes called Make Me Up, Professional Brush Set.

My Nanna and Grandad were kind enough to buy me a new pair of PJ's, which I actually picked out myself along with a new pair of Slippers as I was in desperate need of them both. Along with some fluffy socks, a Lush Bubble bar - Candy Mountain and the cutest Nail Varnish Set.  My Nanna is actually so crafty and she made a cracker and then filled it with some nail files, 2 nail varnishes and the toe separator thing you can use for painting toe nails.

Every Year, after we have eaten we do this thing called 'tree presents' which say 'from Santa', and this year it made us laugh because everyone had 3 apart from Nanna as she hadn't bought one for her self. From 'Santa' this year I got a Nivea set which contained a Shower Cream, Roll-on Anti-perspirant and Lip Balm, a Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, a Mini Snow Fairy and a new Umbrella.

I went down to Essex on the 27th December to see my Dad and my other half of the family, and had almost another Christmas Day in some way. My Grandma and Grandad, again got me The Vamps 'wow pit' tickets for their next tour in May which I am super excited about! Along with two Lush products, Lush Bath Bomb, Father Christmas and Lush Bath Ballistic, Tisty Tosty.

From my Uncle and my cousins I got Teen Wolf, Season 3 and Season 4 which I am so excited to watch as season 2 is honestly my favourite season so far. I have actually already ordered  a USB external DVD drive for my mac so I can watch it soon!

So I hope you enjoyed this post and had an amazing Christmas!! Again, I am so thankful for all these presents and I love my family so much and I hope you all have a wonderful break and new year!! Thank you for all my family who bought me presents this year, I am so grateful for everything.

Thank you for reading and I'll see you next with my 2016 favourites!

I watched my first Christmas Movie of the year last weekend when Mum and I were in the mood to watch Nativity, we started watching the 3rd one and couldn't watch anymore as it was bad (hence why I haven't listed it above) however the other 2 are the best and the 1st makes me cry. Arthur Christmas has to be one of my favourite Christmas movies along with The Santa Clause movies! If you have any recommendation leave me a comment and I'll give them a watch as I love new movies!

Hope you enjoyed this and will hopefully see you tomorrow, or the day after

FOTD | Christmas Edition

I haven't really done any make-up looks on here for a while or that were different to my usual make-up and I have been trying to change it up so pre-pair for 2 posts on make-up looks.

For this one I decided to hope on the trend of doing a Christmas make-up look that I have been wearing a lot. If I'm honest I haven't been wearing that much recently as I have run out of my favourite foundation and can't afford a new one so it will have to wait till after Christmas. If i'm honest I don't mind not wearing it at the moment as I like just wearing foundation sometimes however I have been breaking out so bad recently, which I think is due to eating a lot of chocolate so from now on I'll only been eating my advent calendar!

Let's get into the make-up look:

Maybelline New York, The Eraser Eye
Maybelline New York, Fit me!

Rimmel London, Brow this way - eyebrow kit
Rimmel London, Brow this way
Rimmel London, Stay Matte
Collection, Sheer Loose Powder
Collection, Blush
Benefit, Hoola bronzer

Nars, Illuminator
Collection, Highlight and Sculpt

Urban Decay, Naked 2 (Half baked & Bootycall)

MUA, Hall of Fame (Lion)

Maybelline, Lash sensational Mascara
Rimmel London Lasting perfection Lipstick (Shade; Red)

I have worn this a few times, but not always with the lip colour as it doesn't always work with the outfit. On the first day I wore this I got so many weird looks for wearing it but also lots of compliments, which was great
Sorry about the change in outfits and lip colour, I had tried to take a good eye picture when I'd got the lips on but it didn't turn out good so I tried again later in the day once I'd changed my jumper and lipstick and it came out good.

Hope you enjoyed this post, and I will see you on either Sunday!

10 Reasons I am EXCITED for December

I have been so excited for this post mainly because it's means I can share the reasons I am excited for December, as well Christmas is next month!. I wanted to share these 10 reasons to help get everyone in the spirit , especially for this month as last year no one was really in the mood until it was like the week of Christmas. However this year everyone is feeling super festive, I'm so excited to decorate my room soon along with the rest of the house.
So lets get into the list,
  1. Vlogmas: If you don't watch youtube then you are missing out, as most youtubers do a thing called vlogmas which is when they vlog ever day up to Christmas Day (I think, might be wrong my bad). It's a great way to spend your evenings to help you get in the sprite for Christmas.
  2. Christmas: I mean if you are excited for Christmas but that isn't the reason then who even are you!
  3. Spend time with Family: I tend to see my family quite a lot, especially the family that leaves near me, but I also get to ALL my family which is great. I love seeing my family
  4. Snow: It doesn't snow a lot in England but when it does I love it so much! Back in year 9, about 4 years ago ish, school closed for 4 days and me and my friend sat and watched all of Miranda and made snowmen in the back garden.
  5. Christmas movies: This is what me in the mood last year, along with a 2 hour festive afternoon at Sixth Form. I did a post about my favourite Christmas movies last year, and there are so many great ones along with the unpopular ones on the channel Christmas 24! It shows Christmas movies 24/7!!!
  6. Fires: Sitting by the fire, with the Christmas tree lights on, candles lit, a hot drink, Christmas movie on and Christmas PJ's is such a way to spend a Christmas evening.
  7. Festive home wear: Home wear is my favourite thing no matter what time of the year but Christmas home wear is amazing and adorable. It makes you house a lot more colourful and homely, I think anyway.
  8. Christmas Tree: It's not December or Christmas until you have put your tree up, you have to agree.
  9. My families Christmas traditions: We don't have many but the ones we do are amazing, and  well we have done them every year (that I can remember anyways). On Christmas Eve we always go out for a walk (or to the cinema, like 2 years) but then go out for a meal after at the same place, my local pub. We also alternate who hosts Christmas and Boxing Day each year, so this year we are hosting Christmas Day which will be great.
  10. Jumpers: I have never really been one for Christmas Jumpers but I love them now, just not the really tacky ones!!
I hope I have now got you guys excited for December especially as it is just around the corner, hope you have enjoyed this post and I will see you soon with another blog post!
